My Five Takeaways From 2017

It wasn’t until I retrospect that I was amazed how eventful at so many different levels the year 2017 was. It ushered my life in the way I think, behave and pass my time and by doing that it made me ready to start the year 2018 afresh.  Although there are many takeaways from this year I’d like to jot down the most influential: My five takeaways from 2017   1. Education My college days are over 6 years back. Still I always had this urge to learn something new. This year finally after a much lingered thought I did a certification. I must say that going through this process of learning oiled those jammed gears in action. It brought in new ideas and zeal to pursue something new. That feeling my friends is unmatched!   2. One of the everyday thing which we use all around the world is a clock. It has become such an integral part of our lives that neither the day starts nor the night ends without it. But have you #EverWonderedWhy clock's hands move clockwise? i.e.: From left to right. Why is it not the other way round? The answer to our curiosity lies in sundials and in which Earth's hemisphere the clock was invented in. Sundials was an earlier mechanism which were used to keep the track of time. They used to cast shadows with reference to the sun's position as it moved from East to West. Later when civilizations advanced mechanical clocks replaced the sundials. But even though they replaced them, the mechanical clocks where calibrated to match the speed of the movement of shadow of the sundials and also its direction of movement.
