Crunchy Vanilla

SUMMER VACATION!! These words convey not so welcomed season yet the most awaited time of the year respectively. Though my summer vacation days are long gone *curse the corporate life*; I still remember ways of chilling in the HOT season with either my favourite ice-cream or mom made mix fruit custard with jelly topping it *Mmmmm.. yummy*.

While mom’s recipes were all mine to feast on, the ones available outside were on luck. It used to be so irritating to go out in the scorching heat only to find out that your favourite ice-cream went out of stock, mostly leaving other not so liked or vanilla flavour for you.

Being a foodie and inspired by mom’s innovation habit I bring to you ‘Crunchy Vanilla’. A short and sweet recipe, that won’t make your trip to the store a waste of time when you don’t find your favourite flavour of ice-cream.

Recipe:
  1. Grab a vanilla cup.
  2. Take your favourite cookies. E.g.: Parle Milano or Good-Day Chunkies
  3. Scoop the vanilla ice-cream into a dish and simply crush the cookies over it.
TADA!! There you are having your same Vanilla ice-cream with some chocolaty crunch.

This was my take on Vanilla but you could try your own taste. Try Cadbury GEMS or chop Mapro Falero of all flavour to have tutti-fruity taste. Woah!! I just wrote something which even I haven’t tried myself. Adios, leaving to make one for myself.

If you like this recipe or have another amazing combination don't forget to comment! After all 'Ek Foodie hi dusare Foodie ke kaam aata hai'.

Dear Blog,
This is the first time I’m writing a letter to you. Hope you receive it in time. It’s been a while since I thought of writing a letter to you, to tell you how important you are to me. We have been together since few years now but there was hardly a time we spoke to each other. I believe there’s no better way than a snail mail to fill up this gap. Frankly speaking I can’t recollect what motivated me to start a blog but I do remember how the enthusiasm kicked in and we started writing our own history together. We started the journey with youthful rhymes. Yeah! I remember why we decided it to be named as “rhymes” & not poems. It was because we didn’t consider ourselves to match the level of those celebrated poets. We considered ourselves rookie in this field but I must say I enjoyed and still do the way we wrote rhymes & were eager to publish it to the world. We were like a drop in the sea but what encouraged us was that now we are the part of the sea! Year passed and we…

#EverWonderedWhy clock's hands move clockwise?

One of the everyday thing which we use all around the world is a clock. It has become such an integral part of our lives that neither the day starts nor the night ends without it. But have you #EverWonderedWhy clock's hands move clockwise? i.e.: From left to right. Why is it not the other way round?

The answer to our curiosity lies in sundials and in which Earth's hemisphere the clock was invented in.

Sundials was an earlier mechanism which were used to keep the track of time. They used to cast shadows with reference to the sun's position as it moved from East to West.

Later when civilizations advanced mechanical clocks replaced the sundials. But even though they replaced them, the mechanical clocks where calibrated to match the speed of the movement of shadow of the sundials and also its direction of movement.

My Five Takeaways From 2017

It wasn’t until I retrospect that I was amazed how eventful at so many different levels the year 2017 was. It ushered my life in the way I think, behave and pass my time and by doing that it made me ready to start the year 2018 afresh.
Although there are many takeaways from this year I’d like to jot down the most influential: My five takeaways from 2017
1. Education My college days are over 6 years back. Still I always had this urge to learn something new. This year finally after a much lingered thought I did a certification. I must say that going through this process of learning oiled those jammed gears in action. It brought in new ideas and zeal to pursue something new. That feeling my friends is unmatched!
2. Family & Friends This year I was hospitalized for the first time in my life! The experience was dreadful. It really doesn’t matter who you are or how much money you have. You suffer nonetheless. It’s how many people you have hold on to that counts in times like these. Family &a…
